Ebor is a key partner of the Pathfinder Teaching School Hub and through Pathfinder we offer outstanding Primary phase initial teacher training courses.
As Lead Partner with The University of York we offer a school-centred approach to Initial Teacher Education (ITE). Our primary Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course takes one school year to complete and leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
By training with Pathfinder Teaching School Hub (PTSH) and The University of York (UoY) you will gain a strong start to your career as a Teacher and ensure that every child goes on to receive a world class start to life.
Ours is a school-based ITT programme which sees you in the classroom from the first day of the school year. During your course, you will be placed in two contrasting schools, mainly in the City of York, but including schools in North and East Yorkshire if required. We have long-established links with great schools in both Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust and Ebor Academy Trust, as well as other schools across the region that offer a supportive base within which you can learn your craft.
