When Clifton Moor Pre-School faced closure it seemed natural that Lakeside Primary Academy should take over the reins as they already shared a location and community. After a full consultation the LEA agreed and permission was granted.
When funding is secured, new toilet facilities will be installed and other improvements made, which will mean the new nursery children can be cared for within the main school building, and their former home of a portacabin in the grounds, can be repurposed.
The collective knowledge form all Ebor’s nurseries will help guide Headteacher Helen Hayes-Smith to offer the outstanding nursery provision to the Clifton Moor area that we provide at many of our academies across the Yorkshire region.
