Alderman Cogan’s Church of England Primary Academy and Marfleet Primary Academy have brand new ‘Tiny Steps’ settings with dedicated facilities, and play materials specifically designed for two year olds.
Recent government changes mean that many more families can access up to 30 hours of fully funded childcare from the age of two.
At Ebor we fully understand the importance of the Early Years stage to a child’s future development and have made this one of their three key priorities.
“Two-year-olds are unique, engaging, and motivated – they are full of energy to explore the world around them! At EBOR Academy Trust, we place a high value on providing high-quality provision for two-year-olds in our ‘Tiny Steps’ settings. This crucial period of rapid development is where we lay the foundations for future learning by nurturing personal, social, and emotional skills through a rich, play-based curriculum. By providing a safe and stimulating environment, we help children build the confidence, language, and early communication skills essential for thriving in a school setting. Effective two-year-old provision directly impacts a child’s school readiness, helping to close the attainment gap from an early age and ensuring a seamless, positive transition into nursery and reception. We are passionate about providing this growing provision as a vital investment that provides our youngest learners with the powerful and purposeful start they need to succeed.”
