Ebor Apprenticeships

Ebor Apprenticeships

NB: As of September 25 whilst we will continue to operate as an Apprenticeship Provider and are committed to supporting those apprentices already enrolled on one of Ebor Academy Trusts own programmes; we are no longer accepting any new applications.

Instead Ebor Academy Trust is working with other carefully chosen Apprenticeship Training Providers to offer these and further development opportunities across all of our schools.

Why Ebor Academy Trust?

High Quality Training for the Sector by the Sector:

All of our programmes have been designed in accordance with the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) and written by leading practitioners who work in the sector, ensuring that our programmes are comprehensive and industry-relevant.

All of our facilitators are highly qualified and experienced sector experts, who are able to bring real-life sector experience to the classroom as well as provide invaluable insights and practical hands-on knowledge.

Ebor Academy Trusts Apprenticeship Programmes are taught live, online providing valuable opportunities for real-time interaction, discussion and feedback.

Where practical for our cohorts in-person learning opportunities are also able to be offered.

Apprentices training with Ebor Academy Trust benefit from one-to-one mentorship with experienced professionals, able to guide them through their apprenticeship journey and provide personalised support and feedback to ensure success.

All of our apprentices are encouraged to and have the opportunities to communicate and collaborate with a community of like-minded individuals, creating valuable connections.

As a registered apprenticeship training provider, we are committed to working collaboratively with employers from maintained schools, other multi-academy trusts and private, voluntary and independent organisations to provide the best apprenticeships programmes across the education sector – for the ultimate benefit of all staff and the children and young people they work with.

Our apprenticeship provision was awarded “Good” in all areas by Ofsted in Autumn 2022. Inspectors said Ebor programmes helped apprentices “develop significant and relevant new skills, knowledge and behaviours” and that they feel valued and listened to and grow in confidence and resilience to carry out their roles.

Ofsted also noted that:

Over half of the apprentices who completed their programme with Ebor achieved a distinction grade in their end-point assessment.

We provide apprentices with a suitable range of opportunities to widen their experience by visiting other schools and workplace settings.

Quotes:

Never have I had training sessions that could be more relevant in helping me to not only build on my existing knowledge but to be so easy to apply and put into practice in the working environment. An in-depth programme which teaches you to not only do a ‘job’ but to also have passion and motivation in your role.” – Teaching Assistant Apprentice.

“An apprenticeship with Ebor has truly been my best decision to date. I have had the opportunity to develop not only professionally but personally too. Joining this programme has enabled me to grow into my role and become a key person in the school environment as well as
gaining confidence to challenge myself to deal with responsibilities I would not have otherwise known I was capable of.” – Teaching Assistant Apprentice.

“It’s great to see how the knowledge gained from the training and the course tasks is being applied and how links are being made to benefit the children and the setting as a whole.” – Employer, Early Years Educator Apprentice.

“We regularly meet together to discuss the tasks set and this has opened up discussions at team meetings which have been of great benefit to all of us” – Employer, Early Years Educator Apprentice.
