Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships

Whether you’re an employer looking to grow your team or an individual ready to take the next step in your career  –  apprenticeships are increasingly recognised as offering exciting opportunities for both apprentice and employer  – and are proven to offer real results.

What’s in it for Employers?

Whether you want to recruit fresh talent or upskill existing staff, apprenticeships provide a credible, flexible alternative to college or university.

They provide opportunities to:

  • Boost workforce skills with sector-specific training
  • Raise morale and retention through meaningful career development
  • Reduce turnover by growing talent
  • Improve the quality of provision through fresh ideas and up-to-date practices
  • Maximise funding — apprenticeship training is fully funded for all levy paying employers (or heavily subsidised for others).

Apprenticeships are more than just training — they’re a smart investment in people and in  organisations.

What’s in It for Apprentices?

Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a fresh direction, apprenticeships help you build confidence, competence, and a career you’ll be proud of.

They provide opportunities to:

  • Earn while you learn – Get paid from day one while gaining valuable workplace experience
  • Learn from industry experts – Receive high-quality training both on and off-the-job tailored to your role
  • Gain qualifications while you work – Work towards recognised, career-boosting qualifications
  • Build specialist knowledge and skills – Learn what really works in your sector, from professionals who’ve been there
  • Unlock career and pay progression – Lay the foundations for a long-term, successful future
No student debt – Most apprenticeships are fully funded, with no tuition fees to pay.

Apprenticeships offer more than just a qualification — they’re a practical, supportive, and rewarding route into the career you want.

Inspectors said Ebor programmes helped apprentices “develop significant and relevant new skills, knowledge and behaviours” and that they feel valued and listened to and grow in confidence and resilience to carry out their roles.

Ofsted also noted that:

Over half of the apprentices who completed their programme with Ebor achieved a distinction grade in their end-point assessment.

We provide apprentices with a suitable range of opportunities to widen their experience by visiting other schools and workplace settings.
