What the HR function does and how to contact us

Human Resources

Human Resources (HR) is part of the People function at Ebor Academy Trust. 

It is the function responsible for ensuring that our policies are up to date and legal, that contracts and job descriptions are accurate and appropriately linked to pay and that our staff are paid correctly. Beyond that it has responsibility to ensure that our leaders can manage absence, disciplinary and grievance cases in a fair and effective way. As part of workforce planning, the HR function ensures that our recruitment and selection processes are effective, fair and compliant with safeguarding regulations.

The HR function is overseen by the Director of People & Culture who is also responsible for employee experience and the career journey that people take while working with us. This extends to Learning and Development, Workplace Culture and Staff Engagement. The HR Business Partner works across HR and the wider People function by linking our schools to HR services and supporting them to deliver the outcomes of the People Strategy.
